Pintle Hitch Apparatus

Our Pintle Hitch with Clamp Our Pintle Hitch with Ball

Our pintle hitch assembly has a number of advantages over the competing products now on the market. Our hitch jaw is reinforced and attached with two bolts to the base. Another bolt couples the jaw to the top of the shank. Our shank is twice as thick as most and is coupled to the base with an extra bolt. These factors combine to provide much greater strength and stability and to distribute the load more evenly across the shank. The combined effect of these improvements is much greater strength and higher towing capacity.

Theirs

Ours

WEAKEST POINT - The narrowest portion of the shaft is the weakest point and in most cases the competitor is using only 1" diameter at the base of their shaft. STRONGER - Our shaft is 1.5" at it's base and 2" at the hitching portion. In addition to a thicker shaft, we couple the shaft to the base AND the jaw with cross bolts in addition to the fastening nut at the bottom.
NOT FASTENED ON TOP - Because the shaft is not fastened at the top, all of the towing stress is transferred directly to the base of the shaft at it's weakest point. JAW COUPLING - Our shaft is coupled to the jaw for added strength and stability. This transfers the stress more evenly across the shaft.
JAW LESS SECURE - The jaw of their hitch is attached to the base with only one cross bolt. DOUBLE-BOLTED - Our jaw is extended at the back and secured to the base with two cross bolts for added strength.
ONE NUT - The single nut at the bottom of the shaft is the only thing holding it in place. EXTRA COUPLING - A coupling bolt through the shaft helps secure the shaft into the arm of the base, in addition to the standard nut at the bottom.
NOT SECURE - The base can be unbolted from the backplate easily by a theif. Once the bolts are removed there is nothing to stop them from taking your trailer. SECURITY ALARM - An integrated alarm trigger inside the backplate sets off your vehicle alarm as soon as the base is pulled away from the backplate.
